Berlin's bakery scene splits between long-leavened German rye and sourdough traditions and a newer wave of imported styles. Zeit fuer Brot on the Alte Schoenhauser Strasse in Prenzlauer Berg is known for organic loaves and its much-cited Zimtschnecke, while Brammibal's Donuts on the Maybachufer in Neukoelln and Fine Bagels on the Warschauer Strasse in Friedrichshain show how far the city's baking has travelled. For German bread in its older form, Brotgarten in Charlottenburg and Domberger Brot-Werk in Moabit hold the line.
