The Old Town Square Christmas market is Prague's signature winter market, around 90 stalls from late November to early January. Mulled wine, klobasa, trdelnik, Czech glass ornaments.
Tip: Avoid eating the trdelnik; drink the mulled wine and queue for the smoked klobasa.

The Vinohrady Christmas market on Namesti Miru is Prague's most local-feeling Advent stop, in front of the neo-Gothic church. Mulled wine, Czech Christmas cookies, less of the tourist scrum.
Tip: Open about a week earlier than the Old Town markets; closes 24 December.

Naplavka on the Rasin embankment is Prague's signature Saturday market. About 100 stalls run alongside the Vltava from February to December, with live music around midday.
Tip: Bring cash and a tote; the queue at the bread stalls peaks at 10:00.
