Tip: The Długa branch fills fast at lunchtime; the larger Słupska Street store is calmer.

Pellowski Słupska in Gdańsk is the larger production bakery and cafe of the family chain, in Przymorze. Calmer counter, the full Pellowski range, the same szarlotka the Długa shop sells.
Tip: Bigger choice of wholegrain and seeded breads than the Długa tourist branch.

Cukiernia Paradowski in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz is the city's oldest active confectionery, opened spring 1945 by Stefan Paradowski. Son Andrzej still runs the shop; old recipes, no improvers, sourdough bread alongside the cakes.
Tip: On Fat Thursday (Tłusty Czwartek, the last Thursday before Lent), the queue stretches down Wajdeloty.

Le Delice in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz works a tight cukiernia-piekarnia format on Partyzantów. Big French-school croissants, eclairs, the kind of cake-case display Wrzeszcz returns to weekly.
Tip: Croissants out of the oven about 09:30; the chocolate ones go fastest.

Nowy Chleb in Gdańsk Przymorze is Łukasz Stafieja's artisan micro-bakery: own-milled flours, natural starter, wheat and rye sourdoughs to order. Sezon and a handful of other rooms buy their bread from here.

Cynamonka in Gdańsk works a Grobla III unit a block off Długie Pobrzeże, the city's most-named cinnamon-roll counter. Hand-rolled buns, natural ingredients, between 6 and 15 PLN a piece.
Tip: Plain (sauté) sells out first. The cream-filled cinnamon rolls go by mid-afternoon.
