Reffen on Refshalevej in Refshaleøen is Northern Europe's largest street food market with 35 stalls, 10 bars and an on-site brewery on a former Copenhagen shipyard.

Tip: Open March to September. Weekend evenings are concerts plus market. Winter conversion as Reffen Skøjteøen runs December to February.

Broens Gadekøkken ★ 4.4

Broens Gadekøkken on Strandgade by the Inner Harbour Bridge runs around a dozen stalls year-round on the historic Greenlandic Trade Square, with Gasoline Grill, Hija de Sanchez and Hooked among the regulars.

Go for: Burgers, Tacos, Pizza, Waterfront

Tip: Indoor and outdoor seating; the year-round option when Reffen is closed.

Tivoli Food Hall ★ 4.0

Mid-April to mid-Sep, daily 11:00-22:0015 vendors

Tivoli Food Hall inside the 1843 Tivoli Gardens off Vesterbrogade runs 15 stalls including Hallernes Smørrebrød, Gorm's pizza and Sushi Market, accessible with a park ticket.

Go for: Family meals, International food, Lunch

Tip: Park entry required; the food hall is included with admission. Winter season runs late November to early January.

Paper Island Pop Up ★ 4.0

Mid-May to mid-September, daily 11:00-22:003 vendors

Paper Island Pop Up on Trangravsvej in Christianshavn reopened summer 2024 with American food trucks and harbour-facing greenhouses booked in advance on the rebuilt Papirøen site.
