Food Festivals in Lisbon

Vinhos a Descobrir in Lisbon each May: a weekend wine tasting of over 300 Portuguese wines from boutique producers, tutored sessions through the day.

A weekend of plant based cooking in the Jardim do Torel: 24 chefs, Michelin kitchens among them, plus food trucks for seitan burgers, pizza and acai bowls and a market of vegan cheese and pastry.

Wine Affair Lisboa each May: an evening tasting in the Hyatt Regency courtyard on Rua da Junqueira, about 150 Portuguese wines presented by their producers.

Nine days of crafts and cooking at FIL: the gastronomy area sets Portuguese regional plates beside the food of the guest regions, with Alentejo, Ribatejo and Boyaca in Colombia invited for the next edition.

TipThe food area opens at 12h30 and entry is free until 14h30, the cheapest way through the gate.

Lisbon's intercultural festival spends four September days in Arroios, where the Mesas de Amizade set out home cooked dishes from the neighbourhood's communities alongside music, circus and guided walks.
