Targ Drzewny in Gdańsk was the wood and charcoal market square from medieval times, today the city's Sunday flea market and seasonal stand site. Polish honey, Kashubian preserves, pierogi vans on busy weekends.
Tip: Spring through autumn Sunday only. Quietest weekend in town for a slow morning.
Hala Targowa in Gdynia, 25 minutes SKM from Gdańsk Główny, is the working Tri-City market hall while Gdańsk's is closed for renovation. Baltic fish counters at dawn, charcuterie, dairy, Pomeranian honey.
Tip: Take SKM to Gdynia Główna, ten minutes on foot. The fish hall closes earliest, usually by 13:00.
Jarmark Bożonarodzeniowy in Gdańsk is the city's Christmas market, the largest food and craft market of the Polish winter calendar. Smoked sausages, mulled wine, oscypek cheese, pierniki gingerbreads.
Tip: Best weeknight between 18:00 and 20:00. Weekends after 14:00 are very busy.
Hala Targowa in Gdańsk is the 1896 Neo-Gothic market hall reopening as the city's flagship food hall in mid-June 2026. Apsys's 141 million PLN revitalisation lands 17 gastro stalls, 4 restaurants, 3 bars on three floors.
Tip: Mid-2026 opening confirmed; the older fruit-and-veg market on the square keeps running through the build.
