Dubai licenses no beer production or on-site brewing: Abu Dhabi is the only emirate that permits a licensed venue to brew on the premises (a 2021 rule change, used by Craft by Side Hustle at The Galleria Al Maryah Island), and Dubai's first commercial brewery is the Heineken and MMI joint venture Sirocco, which secured its permits in November 2024 and is not due to open until the end of 2027, so every beer poured in Dubai today is imported.
