Taste of Charlotte is the three-day uptown Charlotte food festival on Tryon Street, with samples from dozens of restaurants and live music every first.
Tip: Free admission. Festival coins buy samples from booths and can be purchased on site or via the festival app.
CLT Black Restaurant Week is the annual two-week citywide promotion of Charlotte's Black-owned restaurants, with prix-fixe menus at Leah and Louise, Bossy.

Festival in the Park at Freedom Park is Charlotte's free three-day arts and food fair on the last weekend of September, with a beer garden and concessions.
Tip: Free admission. Beer garden runs inside the park; nothing alcoholic leaves the grounds. Park onsite fills early, walk in from Dilworth.
Yiasou Greek Festival at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Dilworth has been Charlotte's annual Greek food fair since 1978, with food booths.
Tip: Admission is $5; children under 12 free with a parent. Greek food, gyros, baklava and Hellenic dancing.
