Food Festivals in Boise

Foodfort is the food and drink programming strand of Treefort Music Fest each March, with chef demonstrations at venues including KIN, street eats at Zoo Boise, a Showdown competition, and local restaurant pop-ups throughout downtown Boise.

The opening Saturday of Capital City Public Market each April marks the start of the Treasure Valley growing season, with a full line-up of produce, hot food vendors, artisans, and live music returning to the Grove Plaza.

The Emmett Cherry Festival celebrates the Gem County cherry harvest each June in Emmett City Park, northwest of Boise, with food vendors, a pie eating contest, a bake off, a parade and free entry.

San Inazio honours St Ignatius of Loyola, patron saint of the Basques, with a full weekend on the Basque Block in late July or early August: live music, traditional dancing, handball, and Basque food and wine from Block restaurants.

Jaialdi is the largest Basque festival in the United States, held once every five years in Boise, drawing over 30,000 Basque-heritage visitors worldwide for dancing, handball, sheep-wagon exhibitions, and traditional Basque food at Expo Idaho and the Basque Block.
