Cakeface Cookery School at 16 Irishtown is Kilkenny's best-known cooking school, run by Laura and Rory Gannon whose training at The Savoy and Cafe Royal in London informs every class. The state-of-the-art teaching kitchen offers adult individual pastry and patisserie classes, private cookery events, kids birthday packages, and popular Junior Camps, all hands-on and delivered in the same building as the patisserie and in-house roastery.
Ryeland House Cookery School at Cuffesgrange has been run by Anne Neary since 1991 from a 19th-century farmhouse that has been in the Neary family for four generations. Classes use eggs from Anne's own free-range hens and quality locally sourced ingredients, covering seasonal themes from salads and barbecue to traditional Irish baking, with day and evening courses available alongside private party and corporate bookings.
