Food Festivals in Dijon

Dijon's 96th gastronomic fair, one of the oldest in France: about 450 exhibitors over 24,000 square metres, with a dedicated gastronomy hall of producers, wine bars and restaurants open late.

Dijon's Christmas season: a chalet market from Place Darcy down rue de la Liberté, gourmet chalets and a rink on Place de la République, and a nightly sound-and-light show on the Palais des Ducs.

Fourteen summer Sundays when the Eiffel-era Halles become a 400-seat brunch room: a different Dijon chef cooks each week, with producers, live music and a 29 euro menu from 10:30am to 2:30pm.

Dijon's 80-year-old international folk festival: dance and music troupes from several continents on stages in the Jardin Darcy and Place François Rude, a parade down rue de la Liberté, and wine and food stands.

More than 60 independent growers from Côte-d'Or, Saône-et-Loire, Yonne and Jura pour their wines at the Parc des Expositions and sell at domaine prices, with cheese, foie gras and Hiroshima sake stands alongside.
