South Beach on Pacific Street is the 10,000 square foot Montrose queer dance palace from Charles Armstrong, reopened July 2022 after a four-year hiatus on the former Club Heaven site.
Tip: Friday and Saturday push to 04:00 after-hours. Cover at the door; the patio off the main floor is the cooldown spot when the laser room overheats.
JR's on Pacific has run as a Montrose gay bar for more than three decades. Two-level layout, a back patio, drag shows, dancers and karaoke nights on the upstairs stage.
