Dan and Jael Rattigan founded French Broad Chocolates in 2008, opening the Chocolate Lounge on Pack Square the same year. Their bean-to-bar factory on Lexington Avenue is one of the few in the US that buys cacao direct from cooperative farms in Peru, Nicaragua, and Madagascar.
