What is in season in Fort Collins. and what to order when the market changes.

Spring

  • Farmers' market opening day: The Larimer County Farmers' Market returns to Oak Street in mid-May with early greens and plant starts; 2026 marked its 50th season with about 130 vendors.
  • Patio season begins: Taproom patios from Odell to Salt Road reopen in earnest through April and May, and the Sunday market at Harmony and Lemay starts its run in early May.

Summer

  • Palisade peaches: Western Slope peaches flood the markets in August, celebrated at the Peach Festival in Civic Center Park with pie, peach cocktails and live music.
  • Food Truck Rally Tuesdays: Every summer Tuesday from mid-May to mid-September, City Park fills with rotating local trucks and free live music from 17:30 until dusk.
  • Beer Week: Fort Collins Beer Week runs in late June: one week, some twenty breweries, collab releases and tastings across the city's taprooms.

Autumn

  • Festival season: September stacks Taste of Fort Collins in Washington Park and the Ciao, Summer! session-beer festival, with FoCo Fall Fest closing Old Town Square in October.
  • Pie and harvest baking: Ginger and Baker and Buttermilk Bakery lean into fruit and harvest pies as the market season winds down through October.

Winter

  • Winter farmers' market: The Fort Collins Farmers Market moves indoors to Foothills Mall on Saturdays from November to April, keeping local produce and bread in reach.
  • Stout and brewfest season: Dark beers take over the taprooms; the Winter Brewfest pours tasters from 17 local breweries indoors in late February, and Great Plates deals arrive 1-14 March.
