Fort Valley, 90 minutes south of Atlanta, throws the Georgia Peach Festival across three days each June at harvest peak. The headline act is the Guinness-record peach cobbler. It is the state's definitive fruit pilgrimage.
The Georgia Peach Festival, in its 40th year in 2026, runs 5 to 6 June in Fort Valley and 13 June in Byron, billing itself home of the World's Largest Peach Cobbler.
TipFort Valley is the main site for the first weekend; the organiser also lists a Byron day the following Saturday.
